I'm no doctor, but from what you've said about the numbers not being high then that sounds like a cause for being all the more hopeful. Quickly glancing at the wiki page for ovarian cancer there's also this chart about survival rates https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ovarian_cancer#Survival_rates

Assuming (if it is cancer) it's been caught early and at the first stage then I hope any dicking around is kept to a minimum.

3.a. It's good it was caught early. The earlier, the better.
3.b. A preparation and diagnostics are necessary to plan the therapy. I doubt it'll be a hysterectomy if it's early stages. It can even be done without opening the abdomen, there's a method when a tiny slice is made on the thigh, the thin wire is inserted in the arterial system to block the blood vessel that feeds the tumor, making the tumor die.
3.c. If it's an open surgery, it'll probably require radiation or chemical therapy anyway to make sure no nasty small metastasis are hiding anywhere.
3.d. I wish you the most soon and full healing, and may all your plans be fulfilled.

Hey Seven, this news sucks- but it's just a roadblock. You're young, you got this.

Not a medical professional but I concur with Remi below. Did you ask your doctor about doing a biopsy or hysterectomy? 3 months seems like standard procedure- enough time to observe any changes, but perhaps not enough time for these changes to evolve significantly in terms of seriousness- meaning, it may be overkill to go straight for a surgical operation right now. It's good to put faith in the professionals while staying sharp and address your concerns/questions with them. Hoping for the best case- a benign mass.

Sending good vibes, thoughts, and prayers your way for less of the sucky C and more of the good C's (cats, chickens, and chips de tortilla that you can dip into your Mexican food)

If you're really worried about the diagnosis, you might want to get a second opinion.
I had cancer in my mouth. The biopsy was in early November, but they weren't going to do the removal surgery until January. It had me freaked out, too, but I guess cancer doesn't spread as quickly as we think it does.
At least you're taking it in stride. I, on the other hand, used all that time to drink myself into oblivion. XP

@DrSevenSeizeMD Sorry, I should have mentioned this all happened back in 2012-13. Everything's good. They got it all. I just need to see a otolaryngologist once a year for the rest of my life. At least it got me to quit smoking!

Genuinely really scary news there, hope you can pull through. Wish I had advice to offer, but it seems everyone else has that pretty well covered at least. All I do know is that cancer is a scary thing to deal with and I'm glad it was caught early. The dread you're dealing with while waiting must suck, but hopefully it works out in the long run.
