Wasteland 3

Posted by DrSevenSeizeMD - March 17th, 2021

Holy hell is it a great game.

I know it's been out for awhile but I've just gotten around to playing it. (And it was crowdfunded, and I was a top tier crowd funder so my name is in the credits and I've got an NPC somewhere I think but man work has just kept me too busy to play!)

It's by the same folks who made Fallout 1 and Fallout 2, so it's got that dark, gritty, dystopian feeling that a post apocalyptic role-playing game SHOULD have and yeah, it's a TRUE RPG, where your choices matter.

Sometimes there's no right choice.

You'll do lots of reloading old saves to try different choices.

It's DEFINITELY earned it's M rating.

Copious violence, profanity, sex, drugs, prostitution, the whole nine yards----- they made this game for adults who like strategy. They're not pandering to the 11, 12, and 13 year olds like Bethesda did with Fallout 3 and Fallout 4. (And trust me, I do love Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 for their own reasons)

And man the story is good, so much attention to detail and dark, DARK humor.

I love it.

Tons of Fallout 1 and 2 easter eggs as well.

Oh and the soundtrack is something else. Ima have to find the soundtrack on a playlist.

Anyway, tl;dr you need to play Wasteland 3.

I hope they made enough money that they can fund Wasteland 4.

I didn't play it yet. 2 was real good though.

It wasn't released until like last fall, so you aren't far behind.

I just noticed @joeybetz worked on this game. Dunno if Joey is still around here, but good job Joey! Yall made a great game.

Had a short-lived wave of trying to get included in as many in-game credits as I could afford, all low-tier inclusions I could find... if you happen to play some unknown maybe sub-par crowdfunded Indie game some day then who knows I just might be listed at the end of it!!!

Anyway this sounds nice. Have barely gotten into this franchise at all but some day.

Did you find yourself yet? WHY ARE YOU LEAVING US IN SUSPENSE LIKE THIS?!

I have not, but it was probably a situation where they let you pick your character name and I doubt I picked my real name, lol
It was like 2013 when I funded it!!!!

Damn. Gonna save up for a pc powerful enough to play it. Also heard some really good things about Disco Elysium.
