Missouri/Arkansas!!!

Posted by DrSevenSeizeMD - December 30th, 2022

Just finished up a trip to Missouri and Arkansas. I love the mountains. I hate that I live somewhere flat.

This picture, below, is Buffalo River in Arkansas, near Ponca. Went

looking for elk. One of my favorite places.

Went to all of the tourist trap places and had a great time, including 2 car museums and 2 aquariums.

It was snowy. It was windy.

I ate a bunch of good food.

nice pics

Cool photos! Happy New Year!

Woo what kind of snake is that, and how tall is that cross? Can definitely see Buffalo River used as a set location in some iconic eighties action movie. XD And lmao the raptor pic.

Nice photos. Awesome places and things and foods. Looks like a fun time.

Just home as usual for the New Year here but I'll be away for a bit of January at least, good times ahead.

Happy New Year Seven!

The cross was huuuuuge. I'd say 2 or 3 stories tall. We couldn't determine exactly what the snake was other than a garter or something of that sort. It was non venomous and very cold so we actually moved it out of the way. It wasn't aggressive.

Those are great views. You'd probably like the Adirondacks even more if you can handle this.

I do get bad migraines, with altitude changes, but I'm sure I could acclimate.
I love the mountains.

I'm still in BBS exile but at least the weather is nice again and I ate a bass, a duck, an ox, and a grilled chicken (not all on the same day though).

If I'd known you'd go there of all places, I'd have told you to tell Amy I love her.

Ah, generally harmless, small to medium-sized snakes belonging to the genus Thamnophis in the family Colubridae... that's good to know.

Cool place. Had the impression you had to watch out for pretty much all slithering critters over there.

We weren't expecting to see any snakes. It's been cold. It was a very sunny day so I guess he came out to bask.

Aha, suppose it might've been a bit more docile because of the cold too then.

Saw a toad last Spring before the snow had melted entirely too, didn't know reptilians crept out so early.

@DamnedByFate time to make a newspost

@S3C Nah, it's fun watching you speculate about my death. Even cancels out how emphatically not fun it is watching mods spread misinformation.

@DamnedByFate welcome back

That all looks yummy

Car museum(s), gg, we might not have invented the car, but we sure owned it lock stock n barrel.

Glad you're still sucking the marrow of what life has to offer 7c's, as always you and yours have my best wishes and deepest affection
